We've been back to the Rapid City area several times this summer taking care of the in-laws estate. I've noticed most businesses are having trouble hiring staff to run their businesses. I think every restaurant we've visited has been extremely understaffed, especially Marlins at the Wind Mill truck stop on Deadwood and I-90. I wonder what's going to happen to these businesses during the Rally weeks? It's always tougher to get out and about during Rally weeks, but I'm guessing it won't be much fun at all to eat out for locals or visitors this year.
The local establishments will have a bad time. The vendors that show up, they’ll likely be okay. The money a person makes in that week should be lucrative.
I will be getting some overtime that week. Not like last year. Oh well.
