Plane ticket and game ticket for Saturday purchased. The price of both tickets had an extra zero I could do without, but I have waited decades for this moment not knowing if it would ever happen.

Definitely bandwagon fans here.
But... We thoroughly enjoyed two Elite 8 games yesterday!

And we're glad the Hurricanes final regular season home game is the day between the Men's Final 4 and Championship games.

Hoping we can fit in seeing the Wolfpack women play.

Congrats to the Pack to making the Final Four. How many other C-Der's were here when they won it all in '83 ?

I was in Charlotte, and remember staying up with my older brother to watch the game.

Amphibians ruled the day!

Incredible both teams made it! I know it's happened before with other schools but it's not a common occurrence.

Hard to say right now but hopefully more competitive teams going forward. The people who were burned by bad teams are no doubt taking notice now.

I hear ya. I have a friend who is a grad of U of South Carolina who went to the Final four when the men's team made it in 2017 (interestingly enough in Phoenix too). The thought process was it had never happened before and there was no guarantee it would happen again. You have to enjoy such moments.

To put how long it's been in perspective, the last time the Pack made it:

* Ronald Regan was president
* Home movies were on VHS cassettes
* Michael Jordan was still in College
* Michael Jackson was still black

Yes, I was classmates with Jim Valvano's daughter at the time and our elementary school threw a big party. I also remember going to the airport to watch them land, and the traffic caravan following their bus back to campus.

I still have some Wolfpack soda around here somewhere.

We went with some friends when UNC and Duke were in New Orleans a couple years ago. It was fun weekend even if UNC couldn’t close it out. I did get to see Coach K’s last game though.
