Is This Antenna Vertically Polarised, Or Horizontally?

Ignore the oil barrel, it's the wound part that's the aerial.


I've been playing with CB radio on this thing, and can receive from much of the world, but nothing from the UK, which is where I am, where most people run vertical antennas, if they are there.


Maybe there aren't any people using CB over here any-more, but I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me what I've made.
