Yep...Still love listening to AM radio ( especially at night ).

Its amazing what you can find out there, when signal propagation is in your favor. There are so many AM radio stations that can be heard from over 1K miles away ( with a good radio ). I know AM is outdated ( by today's standards ), but it so much fun to listen to, especially if you go hunting for those long distant stations at night.

I got rid of my stereo/radio in the 80's and my TV in the 90's. Seriously in the top best three best decisions I've ever made.

I rarely listen to any radio station in my own media market, but I like a lot of others that also happen to have webstreams for us outsiders. KEXP is my favorite, but KDHX, KUOI and others can be good. Those are all .orgs.

Having said that, Spotify has always been pretty good for exposing me to new things, so there's that. My parents like Pandora, but I always tend to underprogram or overprogram it. I just don't have the knack.

I never had a working CD or mp3 player in a car. I could have one installed, but I'd rather drive less, not spend more to make driving more bearable. Now I like one AM oldies station and two foreign language stations for more music and fewer commercials while driving. In Spanish and Arabic the commercials are gibberish I can mostly ignore.

I have to listen over the internet but I listen to WBZ in Boston at night. I also like to listen to BBC radio over the internet.

I also listen to stations over the internet because I can't find anything local that is worth listening to. The internet streaming of radio has opened up a much larger selection to choose from.

I listen to Serius XM every day, but only in the car. That's the extent of radio listening for me. I don't even have a radio in the house.

I just bought a new Kia 2 months ago. The car comes with a 3 month Serius subscription. I called Serius today before it runs out, so I could buy a subscription. Come to find out I have a one year subscription paid for. Neither Serius or the Kia Dealer knows how this happened. I'm thankful to say the least, but it is very strange.
