Note to moderator: I have no relationship with the company or products mentioned below. Just happy with them.

I rarely get very excited over most purchases..I tend to use things until they become un-usable. Kind of frugal

But as I like drinking herbal teas, after a lot of use, my stove top tea kettle was at the end of its lifecycle. And it's whistle was feeble, so sometimes the kettle would boil dry. Not safe!

Decide to "treat" myself to an electric kettle with an automatic shut-off feature. Much safer.

So many to chose from.

Finally, I fell in love with this one: https://www.williams-sonoma.com/prod...6580_458012898

Got it in "sage."

It's sweet both in color and design and I'm enjoying its speed and safety.

And lucky me, as it was sitting next to a black toaster, my DH treated me to the kettle's matching toaster..so now there's a matched set...makes for a cozy little kitchen counter ensemble.

Back in the day, I had trouble finding a good electric kettle in the US.

I am so happy now that there are choices for the kettle.
