Can anyone weigh in on the culture in the schools between Yarmouth and Cape? Clearly they are both very high performing schools in desirable towns. The families in both communities seem to be involved and supportive. Does either school district have a reputation for being more inclusive and kind? We are trying to avoid sending our children though a school system where the "cool kids" are the sports stars and everyone else has to suffer through until graduation. I hear Waynflete is amazing in this regard but it is very expensive.

I think they're quite similar. We are at Waynflete now but were in Cape for years and have many friends in the Yarmouth system. The issue in Cape is the facilities are really out of date and they are struggling to pass a bond to rebuild them. The teachers are wonderful, and the culture seems very good - both athletics and arts/music are strong, and it seems generally inclusive with the caveat that there is no more privileged town in the state. Yarmouth is somewhat similar, more rural, also very friendly, very little diversity of any kind. We love Waynflete, and its worth exploring as an alternative. Also consider Cumberland and Falmouth which are more similar to Yarmouth - more spread out/rural, but better facilities than Cape. Cape as a community is amazing....I think they will address the facilities thing but its been a real problem.
