For several years now, I’ve been searching for any loved ones of my dear friend Bruce Price, who lived in St. Louis. Bruce passed suddenly on 6/11/2015 at the age of 48. He was born and raised in Sullivan, MO. His parents are deceased. He does have living siblings.
I wasn’t informed of Bruce’s death and didn’t learn of it until I discovered his obituary online a few weeks later. By then, his service had already taken place.
I have had no luck locating anyone close to him. Believe me, I’ve been trying. I just need to know what happened to my buddy.
Or remotely call the funeral home. I once called a small funeral home in KY and they told me the name of the person who paid for the funeral and like magic the name led to an obituary in a far away state and the person was found. True story. You need to turn over every stone.
The obituary names Bruce’s siblings by town of residence (at his time of death). However, any phone numbers for these individuals provided by WhitePages.com do not work.
So I did call the funeral home, and they stated that by law, they were not permitted to share any information about the deceased or their family.
Most likely, I would get the same response from Bruce’s former employer, but I suppose it won’t hurt to go ahead and ask.
Thank you for all of your tips so far.
1. Go to https://www.truepeoplesearch.com/
2. Enter the name and city/state of one of the surviving family member listed
3. If available, adjust the age filter to your best guess to narrow down the list
4. Find the entry that has a relative name of the spouse's name in the obit
5. Scroll down and find the list of phone numbers
6. Call the numbers, one by one
7. If needed, repeat with the next family member
NorthofHere has located the year of his brother's death and since there are names in the obituary I'll send it to you and hopefully it is the correct one and someone in Timothy's family may welcome your communication with them. Good luck.
Update: I found the information that I was seeking. Much thanks to all for your tips.
