My wife and I are planning on making the move from Maine to Pennsylvania due to insufficient resources and services for our 5 yr old level 2 autistic son. We’re trying to figure out what areas tend to offer better services as we’re pretty unfamiliar with the area, we’ve just seen good things in our research. Any help is appreciated!

In Pa, treatment for people with developmental disabilities are coordinated through the local "intermediate unit." So whatever city you move to there will be programs available. Having said that, there is the Geisinger Bucknell Autism Medicine Institute in Lewisburg which does research in that area.

You should also check out New York State whose autism programs are coordinated through the local BOCES.

PA is a large state. Do you have any preferences of location (near a city, airport, rural, etc.)?
