Ive read conflicting reports. Some say it grew for years but stopped. Who knows?

Is office space in demand in those cities? Nationwide not so much but North Dakota?

1) Post Pandemic, a lot of office workers work from home now.

2) North Dakota is growing slowly, but not getting more diverse. The energy industry cities are more diverse, but sadly a lot of pols and "movers and shakers" are keeping ND stagnant.

I’d agree with this. Lots of xenophobia in ND from what I see. I’m shocked at the amount of natives I’ve spoken with who have never left the state or even flown on a plane or even have gone outside of their county. Quite amazing.

When it comes to isolationism, it's a lot more astounding the number of people in cities like New York and Chicago who have never been outside of their metro area.

Umm- show me your data on that

1 36% of NYC's population was born in another country. ( from Wiki but widely known) Thats a couple of years old so its probably higher

2. A large percentage of people in NYC not only do not drive, but have no drivers license over 30%. ( Texas is 2nd) They have subways and there is so much to see that you dont have in ND. This means they are less mobile than someone in a car-dependent city.

3. Its not isolated Queens for example is the most diverse place in the US. There are neighborhoods for practically every country - every food can be found -try that in ND

4. NYC has so much - one might not have as many needs to leave. They have (lousy) professional baseball -football and basketball teams where is the closest team to ND? They have many museums -beaches - parks many of them world famous and they have some really good universities. Everyone should explore ( Ive been to 49 states most many times) and see more but it certainly could be argued that NYC has so much one will never see it all.

I do not live in NY.
