Hoping I'll get more answers here.

We currently live in Ballston Spa and love everything about it except for the cost of homes and property taxes. We recently visited Cooperstown and were surprised how much land you could get in the surrounding areas!!

We'd love some input about Cooperstown and the surrounding areas. We have children from preschool age to teenagers. Safety is important as are schools. We would love a home that can more comfortably fit our large family and land.

Thank you.

I wouldn't think that safety would be an issue in the area and the school district is one of the best in the area.

Are you open to other areas that are similar in the state or just Cooperstown specifically? Hopefully, someone else will chime in with more specific info.

I've been out of the area for awhile, but don't imagine it's changed much, so I second what this poster ^ said.
I always considered the area safe, and the school district is without a doubt the best in the area.

.....The Cooperstown area...more expensive than some other areas of upstate...not as bad as others. It depends which direction and how far out of town you look.
