Fleet week parade of ships

Guys - what are the best parts of town to see the ships coming in at the harbor and what time should I get there - thanks

I'll jump in here. I don't know when the ships start coming through, but whatever day it is go to Coney Island all the way down at the western end of the beach at 37th Street. It's the closest you can get to the inlet that leads under the Verrazzano. The ships pass very closely to where you will be standing on the beach.
