LOL! Years ago I lived in a smaller city in New Mexico, and one day it was announced in the local paper that a two-week "business" trip to Japan had been planned for the mayor and city administrator, to research city planning programs, or some such BS. Because our poor, mostly Hispanic desert city had much to learn from modern, urban Japan! Right. I'm sure they enjoyed some excellent seafood and got to see some amazing sights, all on the taxpayer's dime.
They totally could have learned something about city planning from a very different kind of city, but that's irrelevant. What's relevant is why no one questioned why they couldnt learn it via Skype a youtube lecture and some pdf documents.

Will mayor travel to Tokyo, Seoul or Singapore next to solve subway and bus issues so they are more effective as well modern system ?
He might travel to Tokyo, but not to solve the migrant issue since the Japanese have no experience in taking a different approach to immigration. Instead, he might go there to learn how New Yorkers can lower their daily stress. How do the Japanese do it?
Singapore might be next, but not to get inspired on reducing the amount of old gum sticking to many NYC sidewalks. Singaporeans know nothing about that.
Maybe Seoul will be next, but not to see how NYC’s Subway stations can all be urine smell free.
Is this guy serious? He’s just openly having NYC taxpayers foot a vacation for him. Can’t say I’m surprised. You can take the person outta the hood, but you can’t …
While this is clearly a tax payer funded vacation let's be fair- most people in the hood don't want to go anywhere
our tax dollars are paying for this, and I don't want to send this idiot to Italy.
I think the taxpayers should volunteer to do this trip for him. We can get the information and pass it along to him. After all he should be staying in NYC. I traveled all over Italy. I loved it. I guess I would be ok with going on his behalf
