Police said that the two had a history of fights over noise
A Bronx woman faces murder and other charges after she allegedly stabbed and killed her neighbor during a dispute over loud music.
Shaun Pyles and Tyquan Pleasant lived across the hall from one another on Elsmere Place in the Tremont neighborhood, police said, adding that the two had a history of fights over noise.
Detectives said that Pyles and Pleasant got into another argument early Friday morning, just before 2 a.m., after Pleasant was apparently playing music. That's when the 25-year-old Pyles stabbed Pleasant in the back multiple times with a kitchen knife, according to police.
The 27-year-old victim was unconscious and unresponsive when police arrived at the scene. Pleasant was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he died.
No loss. Only an inconsiderate POS would be playing music in an apartment at 2 in the morning loud enough to disturb others. Too bad the woman is charged. If I was on the jury, I would vote not guilty. She did society a favor and should be given a medal instead.
I hate to say it but I don’t blame the woman. I had that problem back in 2012 when a group of guys moved in downstairs and blasted music from 10pm to 7am every single day. I winded up taking a video of the problem which includes the time from the cable TV and I uploaded it on YouTube and sent the link to the landlord telling him that these people are creating a nuisance. They were evicted but after around a year.

That's exactly what I wrote. If you had the experience the woman had, then you'd understand. I was working full time and doing a masters in computer science in the evenings. I didn't need music and loud noises playing at all hours of the night. So yes, I understand her - I wouldn't stab someone, but yes, I 100% understand why she did it and I stand by my statement and will always stand by my statement.
As someone who’s had to change apartments MULTIPLE times in this city (often breaking the lease early and losing out on the security deposit) to escape neighbors blasting bass booming music until sunrise every night, I honestly can’t blame this person. The late night music blasters are the absolute scum of this city and one of the major reasons why it’s so hard to live here. Then they’ll claim that loud music is a part of their “culture” and that you should be more tolerant.

I understand your convictions.
Disturbing one's peace is an assault on the mind.
It should come with an arrest and a heavy fine .
