I am thinking about booking a vrbo near Frenchman St. We would like to walk to some jazz bars at night. Both seniors. Is it fairly safe?

I'd probably stay elsewhere and Uber there if I was an older woman. But it could be fine, not a particularly dangerous area but stuff does happen. If they have any kind of street smarts, they'll be fine, if they grew up in small, safe town, ehhh.
I personally feel fine but I'm a 30 something 6ft black guy with locs.

Thanks, maybe we will just go out early. Hubby is a tall man. The price of the place there is so cheap, it is hard to turn it down. I grew up in a city so am pretty aware of surroundings.

I'm wondering where exactly it is, alot of people use incorrect neighborhood names to hide the fact that it's in the hood. Feel free to DM me the general area and I can let you know.

I used to live on Frenchman, one block from Snug Harbor. It was fine there, but anywhere in New Orleans, you better have your wits about you on the streets. Crime is a lot worse city wide now vs when I lived there.

Thanks, we decided not to book it. Too cheap to be a good deal.
