I know most of you lifelong natives hate it, but I'm hoping for some 100-degree heatwaves this summer.
We usually have at least one, as long as the humidity is low I don't mind them. Don't get ahead of yourself though, looks like another Nor'easter might be on the way
100 degrees? No thanks. While I'd love to have 70F year round, I'd rather have 30F than anything above about 80F. Which is why I live up here, and not down south. That said, I'm getting ready for spring.
We'll see how this next winter storm turns out. I'd say, this has been about the most wacky winter I've seen. If we do get "lots" of snow on Tuesday it'd fit the pattern of wackiness.

It really has been a very strange Winter. How many 60-70+ days have we had? We had that one week with two snow storms and then the next week it was in the 60s or more. We had a week where the temps (at least in my town) were 73-74° for a few days. Warmish last week. Bitter cold today. And now, 2 FEET of snow predicted for Tuesday? It's all over the place.
I would much rather have had this weather several weeks ago instead of the 30's and 40's we got back then when it did nothing to accelerate spring. Everything is frozen rock solid again here and will take forever to melt. The wind chills here are 30 below and worse.
I am less annoyed by 100 deg. days then by wind chills below zero. Snow has become a four letter word.
Truth or Consequences, NM is looking better every day as a place to spend a winter.
