Does anyone know if airlines add flights or upgauge aircraft to meet demand for weeks like CMA/Bonaroo? An average day is around 17,500 departing passengers while a peak of 24,000 on the Monday following CMA. It seems like every flight that I get on at BNA is full, even on a regular day, so how do they fit everyone on these planes?

Frontier, which already has service from Nashville to Denver, Las Vegas, Orlando, and Philadelphia, is adding two more nonstop destinations from Nashville: Tampa and Fort Myers.

Passenger traffic at BNA is up 10.5 percent so far this year over last year.

Well, more options are always good I guess but Frontier is one of those I'd only fly if I had to. See also "Spirit Airlines".

I actually like Frontier a lot. My go-to is always Southwest but if that doesn't work for some reason Frontier is who I check next.

Of course, even though it's not too often, at least half of the flights I take now are to and from Denver so that may have something to do with it.

Good to know...I've not flown Frontier personally but know some fairly travel saavy friends who have and it's not high on their list. Higher than Spirit though.

What's your take on JetBlue?

JetBlue is great. Too bad the flights from here are so limited.

I like frontier. Sure, they don't give you a snack in flight, but they have tremendous cost savings. It's a pretty sad state of affairs that we can't go two hours without having something to shove down our throats.

I bought five round trip tickets with baggage, selected seats, and fees/taxes included for $750 to Orlando recently.

I can do without snacks and drinks...it's the hidden fees, baggage requirements, etc that make me leery of any discount airline. It's caveat emptor. As long as you read all the fine print and understand where all the fees are, go for it.

I booked flights to Denver on Frontier a month or so ago for my Mom and 2 cousins (going to a family reunion). At first, I was irritated by the fact that they charge for carry ons (not purses and small bags...just overhead bags) and they even charge for picking a seat instead of letting them assign one. The only extra charge they ended up paying for was for a checked bag (and that's becoming pretty common among airlines). I didn't pay for selecting a seat....but on both flights it still assigned them together. It was much cheaper than it was going to be on Southwest. My Mom actually liked Frontier and said she would fly them again. I think the most difficult part is the limited options on flights. But, as they grow...that will probably take care of itself.
