I can probably go on,but I will stop here.
My cousins are of two generations, those born mid to late 30's and those born in the late 40's due to the families being interrupted by WWII. When I was a kid, my cousin's older brother went off to join the Navy. He told his younger brother NOT to touch his records. Of course he was not long out the door then the younger brother and I got right into his records
I had been used to hearing Perry Como and Peggy Lee and the like, on the radio like my parents listened to. However my cousin's records had a tune that changed me forever. It was Chuck Berry's "School Days" and the irreverent way it talked about school, with a rock'n'roll beat, was a somewhat scary epiphemy for me. Were people allowed to do that?! But I liked that song and played it again and again Thus was my love of rock'n'roll begun
