At the bike shop i more or less hang out at, ran into a bud who said, "I'm starvin' man, let's go get a burger."
This is a guy who owns a business that cuts down trees and grinds out the stumps for a living, and is no stranger to physical labor. I said Sure, I could eat, so off we went. He mentioned a place, but I didn't know where it was, so we headed west on Jacksboro Hwy, and headed, and headed, and headed. At a light, I said This burger better be good! He assured me it was, and off went for more westing. One great thing, there was very little traffic on this two-lane hwy, and thru North Texas it was a nice ride of 45 miles. The burger was great.

I used to ride from Chandler to north Phoenix for my favorite burritos and queso dip. About 30 miles on my old CBR900RR. On the trip home I'd open it up a bit if it was late and there was no traffic.

There was a group of guys in the Phoenix area during that period of my life that would ride to San Diego for breakfast and then come home the same day. About 300 miles one way. Speed limits were merely a suggestion I think.

About 100 miles, one way.

Carlsbad to Ocotillo.

Yes, it was (and still is) worth it.

Red Feather Cafe. The "Smitty Burger" w/tater tots.

I'm beyond burgers...
Samoa Cookhouse (Eureka, CA) - served family style (AYCE) in logger camp kitchen with long tables
https://www.samoacookhouse.net/menu

First trip to Samoa Cookhouse was during Worlds Fair motorcycle trip from Colorado (Spokane) '74 ~800 miles out of the way (one-way). (2) riders... "Do you like Cream pie, or fruit pie?" Actually we each preferred different, so we ended up getting (2) full pies... and we ate them (of course), then we came back for breakfast, then we decided to stay and do laundry so we could come back for lunch. Haven't had to eat that much since then ! (49 yrs so far)

Many subsequent trips to Samoa (especially for french toast breakfast days).

WAY out of the way (200+ miles). Slept in the parking lot more than a few time to be first in line for Breakfast.

After breakfast you can take a few nice NO CA motorcycle routes.
such as Eureka to Shasta
Garberville to Redding
Coastal to Ft Biggs

or, just hit the dirt trails (as I do)

Eh. I'd say a good 100 miles isn't too far for a day out.

Ditto. I wish there was a food place that was like 50+ miles from where I live. I would make that run a weekend ritual once or twice a month!
