Sunday – November 5th 44th Annual Hansen Dam Ride Event
This premier west coast motorcycle event is free and open to all! We usually have 600 to 700 motorcycles of all types, heavy on the classic British iron of course. As noted the event is free but you can buy snacks, coffee, t shirts etc. If you want.
The event is staged in the parking lot just south of the ranger station in the Hansen Dam rec area - just Google it for directions.
Clean up that Classic British motorcycle and get it ready for the road and attend the largest Classic Motorcycle event of the year in Southern California. Hope to see you there!
Switchin’ it up a little after 43 years – feel free to come by as early as 8AM, we’ll have breakfast burritos, coffee and donuts for sale followed by a Peoples Choice Awards Motorcycle Show with a number of categories to enter your motorcycle. After the awards have been given out, we will depart on a 75+ mile ride through Angeles National Forest. Meet at the lower lot of Hansen Dam on Dronfield (off Osborne). Riders on British Iron will receive free Hansen Dam ride pins! Ride will depart at approxiamtely 12PM
I've kicked it around, but I have a bearing going South on my Tiger, so I wouldn't want to chance that. And the Husky has new Tusk tires on it, so that's out too.
Ya know, I got a buddy with a few Vincents....maybe I can steal a Rapide or Black Shadow from him....
Last time I attended, I had to "call out" facilitating a new rider class!

Brings back a haunting memory: When I was in college in the late '60s in Atlanta, I had a little 200cc Bultaco Metralla, needed a face shield and walked in to Triumph of Atlanta one day and sitting up there on a display stand was the most beautiful vehicle I'd ever seen and I had no idea what it was. After I picked my jaw up off the floor I asked, I was told it was a Vincent Black Lightning that'd just been redone including a nickel plated frame. It was stunning!
The kicker is what the asking price was: $1,100.00
Got the bike, Saturday. New bike seems to have a bit more "poop" in the mid-range. Still trying to learn all these menu's and displays. Took 20 minutes and the OM to figure out how to set the time! (Just returned to Standard time on Sunday.)
