Osheaga attendance for 2022 drops to 120,000, Dua Lipa had at least 50,000+ for her show though, which was impressive considering she played at the Bell Centre a few days prior. There was a significant drop in international people attending the show, making up 50% of attendance (usually it's 70%). Covid + inflation were the main reasons why attendance dropped.

MTL pride parade cancelled last minute due to "lack of volunteers". The largest one on the continent could not find any volunteers... pathetic.
Word on the street is that they told the SPVM (city police) earlier this week that they wanted no cops nowhere near the parade. On TVA they just said that at least two impromptu parades had "broken out" in downtown Montreal, and the one they showed had floats, DJs on truck platforms, etc.
And of course the cops were closing streets off for them, doing traffic and crowd control, etc.

Ilesoniq with a cool 85,000 people over three days. Although a new record, surprised it didn't surpass 100,000 given the lineup and how some artists did almost exclusive sets for the concert.

I can confirm that. I have a family member who works for an organization that was participating in the parade. He told me that a few members of Fierte Montreal categorically refuses to work with with the SPVM. All of this over events that happened 20, 30, 40 years ago... Its saddening that 100,000 people had to pay the price.
That part of the story hasn't made it on the news.
