Does anyone remember the Warehouse restaurant in Cannery Row? Lots of female servers wearing t-shirts that read "Untouchables". Had to enter through a phone booth that was actually a door leading into the restaurant (like an old Speakeasy).

And if you do remember, have you run across any photos?

It was on the corner of Wave Street and Prescott Avenue -- where the Cannery Row Brewing Company now stands.

Yes, I remember it. Sometimes we took our young'uns there for pizza. Flora's bar was on the upper Wave Street corner. The Sardine Factory was diagonally across the street.

Later years they had the video games Arcade & the Carousel (Merry Go Round) (Oscar Hossenfelders)

Back when Cannery Row was a fun place for locals and tourists.

The entryway was a room with pinball machines and that phone booth/door.

Ate there many times. Watched the live band. The decor was great, all the tables were painted up like roulette tables. There was an old truck on the stage. Sign over the bar "We Proudly Pour" with cans of paint thinner and the like.

Cool! Any chance that you could upload a scanned copy?

I spent many hours drinking beer and whatnot at the Wharehouse back in the early 70's. My question is this. There use to be a girl singer that preformed on stage and for the life of me I cannot remember her name and it is bugging the heck out of me. Does anybody remember the name of this girl. Seems to me she might have had red hair, but it was a long time ago. Her signature song was: "If Mama Could Only See Me Now" Thanks for any help

I remember a singer in the mid-late 70's. Her name was Barbara something. Loved her and her band was awesome. I remember that she left to move to SoCal and was murdered down there in either 1977 or 1978.

Default Warehouse

thanks so much for the info. I am sorry to hear of her death. I always though she had a lot of talent and could have made it to the next level. She was an awesome singer and performer. I remember now her first name being Barbara as you mentioned. If you ever recall her last name or think where I might locate it, I would appreciate it. RIP Barbara.
