How absolutely awful that the Yellowstone lake was poisoned :-(
It was the Yellowstone River, not the Lake which is upstream! The river moves so fast there that the pollution was probably disapated rather efficiently and the problem no longer exists.

Two other newspapers might help you - the Billings Gazette and the Park County News if it is still in business.

I've been in touch with Livingston Enterprise newspaper and they have been very helpful
They've also advised me to try and contact a Kenneth Paolini who was once an active member of CUT, and is now very anti this sect. I've done a stack of reading up on him but haven't found any contact details yet.

Livingston Enterprise newspaper unfortunately don't have an archive, so I will go through the newspaper links you've sent me and see what I can find.

At least now I know why a whole bunch of people living near me in South Africa suddenly upped and left to Montana all those years ago....they thought the world was coming to an end, and this ranch and its bunkers would save them

Thanks for the links Grizzman

Hi Shrimpet,
I'm also looking for Shelly!
I came across your post here, and was amazed.
I nursed with Shelly in 1995/96 at Greys Hospital in PMB, and was very close to her, after I moved overseas in 1997 we lost touch.
A few years ago I found her on social media briefly, but then just as quickly she vanished again.
All these years later I am now living in Australia and her name keeps popping into my head. I feel it's a sign of sorts.
I really need to find out how she's doing...and today I found your post here!
Have you gotten any closer to finding her?
I recall on our last contact her telling me she'd moved to America.. but I cannot remember where that conversation took place on social media.. aargh.
Let me know if you find anything, I hope they're OK

Claironius.

Welcome to city-data. You shouldn't expect an answer from Shrimpet. He/she hasn't been on city-data since 2007. For the future you can look at the dark blue field at the top of the post to see the date. Good luck with your future posts.
