Thanks. We're adjusting pretty well. Helena is a little different than what I'm used to, but it'll be okay. The folks I've met thusfar have been fantastic and I seem to be fitting in okay.
Yes- 6 months is tough.. I've been in the mountains around Helena all weekend watching everyone else try to get a jump on some elk, but all I can do is study. (and learn what NOT to do he-he..

Peekaboo says hi and what am I going to do !
Peekaboo says hi ya all ! Well she hasn't said that yet but she is getting a bit more comfortable in front of cameras.
I've been getting some video of her acting out but it isn't easy.
She is smart and clams up when I start the camera. I'll post a video or too of her bobbing and talking soon. All the footage needs to hacked up and stitched into a short.
My wife is going bonkers waiting for her neck surgery, the waiting is the hardest part. Four more days of her being scared to death.
At least Peekers and I are trying to keep her distracted.

Congrats! Now go get your tag, your Conservation thingy, maybe a recreation stamp, an ORV sticker, some new car harts, long johns, booties, gloves, deer drag, doe urine, fill up the truck, take a tent, an arctic sleeping bag, a tent heater, something to eat, orange clothing to go over your expensive car harts and then you too can get lucky and shoot an Elk. Spend all day draging it back to the vehicle, get 3 or 4 buddies to help load it and take it to get processed.
All said and done. You'll enjoy cooking some $18 a pound elk roast over an open fire.
