Anyone remember the stores in the shopping center where the USA commons are now? Its at the intersection of University Blvd and Old Shell Rd. Eventually it became the USA communications building (I took my public speaking classes there in the early to mid 90's).

I remember one of the "department" type stores going out of business there in the late 80's...i think.

It may have been Roses but for some reason I'm thinking it could have been something else. Anyone have any insight as to what the store names were over the years?

I think it was called Kingswood Shopping Center. The initial anchor was Gaylord Department Store, which was eventually acquired by Zayre in 1986. Of course, Zayre shuttered several locations by early 1990, including this store.
