Don't think Target uses the "Super" any longer. When the stores are remodeled the Super moniker is dropped. The stores do still have the expanded grocery, deli etc.

In the upcoming city council meeting, the city is set sell the property at 720 Museum Drive, near McGregor and Springhill Avenue intersection in Springhill. This is the Burton project that would build around 360 housing units on a 4 acre piece of property

I just saw the city of Detroit was successful in their challenging of the census bureau which revised their population from 620k in 2022 to 633k in 2023. They revised the 2022 number and then showed they added population during 2023 for the first time since 1957. They said the census bureau was subtracting 2 people from Detroit for every building that got demolished, when those buildings were empty in the first place. That got me thinking that they’re doing the same thing here with us tearing down all of those housing projects from 2010-20 and the blight removal program. I’m not saying we’d add 10k people to the population or anything, but that this could be an unfair reason that we constantly are shown in population decline

Most cities that challenge the results are successful if they have a good reason and come with data. The census bureau even admits that their figures can be 6% to above 10% off. The deviation grows the further in time from the main census. I heard the mayors office is actually looking into it.

Good need to, I wouldn't be surprised if we were being shorted population
