That's geography for nearly every state. Rarely you'll find all that in just 1 concentrated area of state.

I'm not saying this in a snappy nor rude tone just matter of fact: i know it's not a mountain that's in the name.

I have no idea what you're arguing. Nobody comes to MS to go to Woodall Mountain. Heck it's actually privately owned. It's just a feature, not a destination. Similar to that big gulley near Columbia.

The rural poverty problem has brought the state’s overall stats down since forever. All of the state’s major cities and metros are in good shape. Write to representatives. Get involved.

Never heard that before. My brother lives off 95 near Florence. Once you get a ways south past Florence there are some pretty rough looking areas. I'm sure there's a lot of poverty on that corridor.

Things your listing to do that can be found in neighboring states is due to the pros/cons of geography plus artificial boundaries. Even the neighboring states have a ton of private owned lands. Theres plenty of outdoorsy activities marketed by the state.
