Between October 31, November 1 and November 2 which day is the most important in Mexican culture and what different celebrations take place on each of the days? What do they represent?
Oct31 is Halloween, not a mexican tradition but a lot of kids go disguised on the streets asking for candies, more celebrated in urban areas and the north of Mexico.
November 1 DÃa de todos los santos, it's not that celebrated unless you're very religious, most people don't celebrate it.
November 2 DÃa de los fieles difuntos, although it is still a religious holiday, it has traditional elements very typical of Mexico and is widely celebrated, many people visit their dead in the pantheon or remember them with or without altars.
I saw some day of the dead decorative figures in a store. They were skeletons about 2 feet tall, one dressed in a gown and the other in a tuxedo. They were really neat.
