NEW YORK (AP) — Comedian Jon Stewart is rewinding the clock, returning to “The Daily Show” as a weekly host and executive producing through the 2024 U.S. elections cycle.
Comedy Central on Wednesday said Stewart will host the topical TV show, the perch he ruled for 16 years starting in 1999, every Monday starting Feb. 12. A rotating lineup of show regulars are on tap for the rest of the week.
I lean predominately far to the right these days, but I used to love watching The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
Unlike Kimmel, Colbert, and that crowd of liberal bent hosts, at least he was FUNNY.
He didn't seem to care who he skewered - all sides were fair game. I wonder if he will have the same freedom to do that this time around. Something tells me - he may not. And if that's true - that will be unfortunate.

I agree. My political viewpoints have changed some these days, but I always thought he was funny.
Stewart was always very funny, loved the sarcasm. I recall he had Bill O’Reilly on his show and he reciprocated, interesting and fair debate. Many interesting guests and cast including Colbert, John Oliver, Lewis Black, Roy wood and many others.
Jon Stewart had about the best comedic timing and delivery I've ever seen, and the early Daily Shows seemed to have a good perspective and feel for what's funny...
May he be able to bring that back where it's been lost.

Not an O’Reilly fan at all (can’t recall if I’ve seen a full episode) but I remember this interview. What struck me as sincere was Stewart’s regard for different opinions and not character assassination. He brought the best out of his guests by meeting them half way, with witty humor thrown in.
He was great and funny before I even knew what politics was.

I agree, when he went on the O’Reilly show he sat on his lap. I also enjoy a healthy debate minus the screaming. I also enjoyed the O’Reilly show, I thought he was fair.
