Maybe even bigger problems than that, because people like me almost never watch and only know from reading about it. To me, Sam is the best thing there, by the way.

Actually the weekend morning show was popular. The article referencing the departure of Lynette Romero. With her departure, none of the early hosts of the weekend show are left. Two others left within the last year and of course the original host, Chris Burrous died in 2018.

Was.

That type of show has never been my thing. But I know another channel had a popular weekday morning show (with an attractive lead who went on to radio and battling cancer - edit: I remembered that's Jillian Barberie and Google says it was KTLA), and it peaked more than a decade ago. Broadcast and basic cable TV are in a major decline.

I remember the first morning show on ktla with Carlos Amezcua, Barbara Beck, with weathercaster Mark Kriski, and Eric Spillman, Michele Ruiz, and Sam Rubin.
Once Carlos and Barbara left, I no longer watched that show.

Sam's a pompous jerk. I served frozen yogurt to him at Humphrey Yogart in Brentwood.

^Haha. "You are the entertainment reporter for this station? And you don't know the difference between me and Laurence Fishburne."

Great takedown of a clueless bobblehead "reporter"....hilarious.

I like how Jackson doesn't let it go. And Sam deserved every bit of that. After that show, Sam probably called his agent and started looking for a fall back job.
