The two major London Financial Districts in relation to the the City of London which borders the East End and Canary Wharf on the site of the old London Docks in the East End have a impressive skyline by European standards.

The West End and historic heart of London is by contrast full of listed historic buildings, as opposed to the skyscrapers of the financial district to the East.

2023 Photo taken from South London showing the City Financial District (aka Square Mile) and Skyscrapers around it.

The first photo is a great shot - but it's not just the City of London, it's a 'compressed' photo taking in the Vauxhall cluster, the aforementioned 'City' scrapers, the Elephant & Castle high rises, Blackfriars, through to Westminster.

The city is basically the towers between the NatWest and 20 Fenchurch Street (the Walkie Talkie), and it should be noted that some other Towers shown in relation to the Shard district etc, are on the City of London fringes. Not that it matters in relation to the view from parts of South London.

You can see it crossing the Millenium Bridge at Darford, you can see it from atop the downs above Westerham and Oxted too. :-)
