Just wondering.......what was the final result? Find a place? Like the area? Not?

It would be nice if more people would come back and post the end result. Especially the ones who had a lot of questions............of course, they don't have to do so. It would just be nice to hear what the final decision was....and maybe why.

He hasn't been back in over two years, so I'm not holding my breath. On the other hand, I've been surprised when someone asks a question to one of the "missing" and they suddenly appear, sometimes years after the fact!

Sometimes people are just looking, but there spouse is adamantly against moving. Sometimes someone gets a raise, or a grant, or - God forbid - someone gets sick.

I agree, though, and that's why I always profusely thank someone when they return with a followup report.

If it helps, I think he was looking in Crossville, too., although we never heard anything further about that, as well.

Relocating to the area to work in Oak Ridge and been heavily researching Clinton/Norris ahead of an in person visit. My wife and I live in a mountain community that has hiking, grocery stores, recreation areas, parks, all walkable. Is Norris a bit like this or are there any other communities that fit the bill to? I prefer big mountain hiking out west which seems more like frozen head area but I assume there are steep hikes near Norris too?
