This must have been very uncomfortable situation for this young woman - Plane reroutes to Iran with Israeli soldier on board, leaves safely: https://www.ynetnews.com/article/rypjhglrs
I didn't know that Charles' grandmother, Princess Alice, "sheltered a Jewish family from the Nazis and was posthumously honored by Yad Vashem as one of the Righteous Among the Nations." While I'm not exactly a fan of most royals, this kind of puts a new perspective on them. (At least, when it comes to Princess Alice, and especially King Christian X of Denmark.)
Secondly, I wasn't aware that the British royals had a connection to a historic cemetery on the Mount of Olives, and that "any focus on the Mount of Olives is a public relations disaster for the Palestinians. It reminds the world that one of the most important Jewish religious sites in the world is situated in eastern Jerusalem – shattering the myth that it’s an all-Arab territory that belongs to the Palestinians."
Very interesting article! Thanks!
The British Royals are actually German not English. They hail from the House of Hapsburg but changed names after the World War so they would not be ostracized.
The 2 major headlines of interest today are twin bombing attacks in Jerusalem killing a teenager & injuring 26 and the second one is a Druze teenager after a car crash was taken off life support and his dead body snatched by terrorists in Jenin wanting a ransom (to free Palestinian terrorists from Israeli jails) for its return.
Benjamin Netanyahu has been become the Israeli PM for the 6th time. As the new/returning PM he has made this statement “the Jewish people have an exclusive and inalienable right to all parts of the Land of Israel” (and this includes the annexed Syrian Golan Heights and Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank). The UN International Court in Hague will be investigating the situation in the area. https://truthout.org/articles/un-vot...li-occupation/
