Hello! Can anyone please recommend a roofer who can replace 7 shingles on the roof of a two-storey house?
There is no other damage to the roof, just the shingles that were torn off by the wind. We live in St. Johns. We have spare shingles, only the labor is needed. A roofer came today and quoted us $1000. That’s a lot of money...

These are the only 2 reputable ones I know of at the beaches (PV - we used Hagerty to reroof 7 yrs ago - they're 100% legit). Bunch of shady ones out there so be careful:

Neligan Construction & Roofing, LLC (904) 247-3777

Hagerty Construction & Roofing (904) 992-9960

Hopefully they'll call you back.

I can vouch for Neligans. They did a small repair for me. Very professional and will do the job right.

For a simple job of replacing 7 shingles with no further damage, $1000 does seem steep. Given you're in St. Johns and have the materials ready, I'd recommend getting a few more quotes for comparison. Local community boards or social media groups can be great places to find trusted roofers with reasonable rates. It's important to ensure whoever you choose is reputable and offers a warranty on their work.
