Muslim man marrying a Christian woman (convert)

I know Christians are considered "people of the book" and a Muslim man- may marry a Christian woman, but I was hoping to get some insight into the teachings and experiences of a Muslim men marrying a Christian women. There will be no children involved or will be conceived during the marriage. Both are divorced. Both are mature adults, but the woman is past child bearing years.

The man is Moroccan and comes from a good family (fisherman). They will eventually live in the US... or at least that's the plan.

How well do they know each other? Is he using her to get a green card? Fishing is an honorable profession, but I doubt it is bringing in lots of money with all the fishing restrictions in place now.

They started out as professional associates during a bio medical start up collaboration. She then visited in Morocco since his visa ran out. She's a Micro Biologist and he's a production Engineer. The mans Family has the commercial fishing endeavor in Morocco. Currently they're being interviewed at the American Consulate in Morocco, to check on what-ever it is they check, to make sure no fraud is involved. Then do a Interpol, check and all their documents are valid and accurate.

I am more concerned about how Muslims and Islam views marriage to a Christian woman. She will not convert.
