Area SW of Cape Verde Islands in Atlantic organizes enough to become Tropical Storm Sean. Expected to move generally WNW / NW next few days, not become too much stronger and dissipate this weekend / early next week. Shear and dry air along it's path.

As of 5aEDT satellite estimated winds 40mph(65km/h), moving WNW 13mph(20km/h), pressure 1006mb.

Sat 14Oct 5aEDT satellite estimated winds 40mph(65km/h), moving WNW 8mph(13km/h), pressure 1006mb. After finally having a burst of convection over it's core overnight, that has faded as the sun rises. Looks like reaching the dry air. Will be lucky to make it past Sunday.

Sean is no more as of Sunday evening. A few scattered showers remain. No more advisories to be issued. An NHC archive: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/archive/2023/SEAN.shtml?
