One big reason we see so many blue license plates in Huntsville is because so many people live along the state line in places like Pulaski, Ardmore, Fayetteville and even Winchester--and work in Huntsville area. The Tennessee side of the state line is solidly populated--and not country. Half the population of Lincoln County is in the south end of the county and not up in Fayetteville.

At 7:45 a.m., Hwy. 53 has a traffic jam behind my house every morning. At 3:00 a.m., the traffic on Hwy 53 is all heavy trucks bringing food and other commerce into Huntsville from Nashville. I don't expect to ever see this very busy highway 4 laned in my lifetime.

Sad to think that we won’t see many needed road projects done in our lifetime. Unless you’re a toddler.

I have plenty of coworkers that commute from Tennessee, but i am not sure if there are any real advantages to living there.

It seems that the price of housing nowadays is just as expensive up there.

I seen debates on CD from people who work in Chattanooga and living in AL, GA, and TN. It did not appear that there was a major difference in the cost of living.
