Although I'm a bit annoyed by our primary home being located in a city of the wrong state, the equity we now have in that property is quite soothing to that annoyance.

Not the house per se but there's so many security and more added since I bought the place. I find them annoying as all get out. If I'd known then what I know now.

That it's an apartment in the neighborhood it's in.

Popcorn ceilings that collect dust.

It’s an annoyance, but not something that bothers me enough to remove them (money and hassle).

I don`t like my tankless water heater. It takes forever for the water to warm up.

The bane of living in Florida - no basement. Everything has to be stored in the garage or in closets. Attics get too hot here for much storage.

My basement. It's decrepit, gross, falling apart, short ceilinged, moldy, musty smelling and rodents get in there. I just hate everything about it.

The concrete is coming off the walls and it's the worst basement I've ever seen in my life, but it's not worth the money to lift the house and put in a new foundation. It'll probably crumble to dust sooner or later.

All my rooms are long and narrow -- it's a split foyer ranch house. I like fat square rooms, but I couldn't afford any of the houses with them when I was buying. And the low-ish ceilings on the ground floor

Not enough windows. I have cathedral ceilings in the living/dining area and the whole house is painted white with white tile floors and it's still dark in here I have to have lights on all day. The house is 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1850 sf, and there are only 12 windows in the whole thing. Oh, and then there's that one miserable double hung window behind the kitchen sink that nobody can reach to open. Luckily my electric is provided by a co-op and my light bill is very reasonable.

Oh dear, you mean I'm supposed to be dusting my popcorn ceilings???

In my over-55 community in FL, the only people who bother getting rid of them are those who had a leak in the ceiling and need to re-do it, or flippers who gut the whole place. I once asked a painter what he would charge to get rid of them and he wouldn't even give me a quote. Too much hassle, he said. I don't mind them, don't even really notice them but I also have cathedral ceilings.
