Fantastic experience using Gametime to buy tickets for Game 2 of the Rangers-Tampa series at MSG last week.
Initially looked at Stubhub but those crooks wanted a $120 service fee.
Friend turned me on to Gametime. Not only were identical seats cheaper but their app provides much better views of what it will look from your seat than Stubhub or Ticketmaster.
As it turns out, my seats were transferred to my Ticketmaster account which leads to the following question:
It appears Gametime undercuts Ticketmaster’s service fee, resulting in an overall lower price….is that correct?
I also used Gametime to buy Yankee tickets a few days later and got a great seat and price.
Both tickets were bought the day before the game, not at the last minute.

Price of the ticket is driven by the sellers. When lesser known apps gain the same traction as StubHub and Seat Geek the prices will go up (as will fees). Ticketmaster is the official partner of the NHL so their platform is required to receive tickets and enter arenas regardless of the platform used to sell.
