Yes. My original question was whether this is knit or crochet. Regardless of the terminology, it's been established that it is a knit. A machine made one, not hand knit, but a knit non the less.

I guess you didn't phrase it well, because you asked what it was made of, not how it was made.

Crochet cannot be done by machine, only by hand.
