In an emergency bar soap as shampoo is not terrible.
Aussie products also sells bodywash in a pump bottle that can double as shampoo in a pinch.
It's worth it to note that most people need to follow a bar-shampoo (or soap) wash with a vinegar/lemon juice/citric acid rinse. The difference is like night and day.
I've used several types of J.R. Liggett bar shampoo for decades. Beats plastic bottle waste, though I like Paul Mitchell liquid Tea Tree Special shampoo as well. I know there are more bar shampoo choices these days but I like theirs. Hair feels and smells great. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
