My friend is a 75 year old grandmother. After high school, her granddaughter decided to go from being female to male. I don’t even know the correct terminology.
My friend says the girl is neither gay nor straight, but asexual. The girl cut off her hair, started dressing like a male and shortened her name to a male version of her name. Now, she wants to have her breasts removed, and my friend, as well as the girls parents are freaking out. It’s elective surgery, so the girl will not have the money until she’s self supporting.
I have plenty of opinions about this, but they don’t matter. I’m only interested in supporting my friend.
Has anyone’s family gone through this, and if so, what have you learned?
