63F today. We've had one day reach the low 80s, but mostly it's been in the 60s-low 70s in the past couple weeks. Great for the cabbages and lettuces, lilacs and lily of the valley, and most of the trees have leafed out, but I'm still holding back a lot of my warm weather crops until the nights are warmer. We're supposed to drop to 44F tonight. Precipitation has been pretty normal.
I agree. Thirty years in Hawaii..... same weather essentially everyday. We could recite the weather report everyday, almost verbatim.
I like seasons.
Hawaii has seasons. Wet season, wetter season. Mango season. Hurricane season. Tourist season.
Southern Arizona has a cold-but-not-like-the-northern-cold season, a couple of weeks of lovely weather when the cactus bloom, a burning inferno season that lasts six months (including about a month of deluge), then a couple of nice weeks again. Repeat.
My garden consists of plants that can stand all that, plus a lot of sand and rocks. Succulents? Some make it, others die of dry or frost or javalina depredations.
where do you live OP?...down here in southwest Florida gardening season has come to a close..it's backwards from up north..way too hot for typical veggies to grow..our growing season is from oct. to may..I did grow some lovely tomatoes this year in fabric pots but when temps hit mid 90's (which it is now) they stop growing..

Currently 70F, with a slight breeze, and the plants are all happy, enjoying the sun. The last few nights it's been 50-60. My favorite time of year, no need to use the furnace nor the AC.
