I finally found the book I've been looking for, at a used bookstore I didn't know existed. I ended up buying more than just that book, but they were well-priced & the owner was fun & interesting to talk with, so, bonus!

But its an accurate image. The sizes are most realistic. Greenland really is big. Its bigger than Mexico.

I am huge geography buff.
^^^So am I. Have you watched Geography King on Youtube? I really enjoy that channel.

Buying something to buy something and put it on display, probably not much joy. However sometimes some cheap item can give some bit incite or knowledge, especially if I buy it to modify as an experiment. Learning something new can be quite pleasant.

One of my grandsons lost his phone about six months ago and was planning to buy a new one with birthday/Christmas money.

I checked the phone kiosk at Costco and was able to buy him a nice new Samsung phone with separate phone number added to my account for $168 AND I get a $300 Costco cash card as an incentive.

Best deal I've gotten in a while.

Thanks grandpa! He was a social outcast without that phone. That meant the world to him.

LOL, he wasn't particularly upset about the theft of his phone, mostly missing the music he had stored on it. He was ecstatic when I gave him the new one as an early Christmas gift and said he would now focus on saving for some earbuds (which he has never had).

His birthday is next week so I bought him Skullcandy earbuds yesterday. Grandkids are a joy! My 7 are very well-mannered and athletic. I do wish they were a bit more studious though.

In September I took his twin brothers to Las Vegas for their 21st birthday. They loved it!

I think it's important to indulge the kids in some fun memories while I'm alive rather than just leaving them money in my will. I wish my own father had felt the same way.

$6.00 coffee filter screen (plastic/metal). The paper filters kept getting pushed out of place by the stream of hot water, then let all kids of grounds to get around the paper filter & fall into the pot.
