How is the bus service in fort wayne?

It's been a while since you asked this question, but I just gotta say, the bus system in Ft Wayne is really el sukko.

So many routes run only once an hour, the last runs of the day are so early as to make the bus system worthless for evening workers (if you get off work at 10 pm, you are S.O.L.) and the first bus of the day on Saturdays is too late for most worker commutes as well.

So, the system really isn't very user friendly for employed people working the hours commonly expected of marginal/ low skilled workers. (seemingly a huge fail, for the type people....who normally you might expect to have the greatest need for affordable public transport)

My personal gut on their whole operation is that having to actually operate a bus system is just the inconvenience they endure necessary to harvest federal mass transit subsidies..it's just a gravy train paying their salaries, with any thoughts of actual service to community no more than a mantra.
