More like it went "tourist". It's jammed on the weekends, forget going anywhere close on holidays. Someone told me the other day that some of the more popular trails are getting so crowded they're having to limit the number of poeple on them at a time.

I go over to Jerome and occasionally to Prescott, and I never, ever go 89A through Sedona. it's always crazy driving through there.

In over twenty years central Sedona went from very bad traffic to could it possibly get any worse traffic. Simply crazy, and too bad. There is always construction and pedestrians and just one lane through central Sedona. Even on weekdays during the off-season I would not recommend. I travel Flagstaff to Cottonwood on occasion (markets, restaurants, and even some family health care), but now I have to stick to the freeway and drive through Cornville which is very round about.

What's crazy is this is happening everywhere and select desert communities seem to be the only ones critical of the trend..

P.S. this is why I've only ever dealt in land out towards Mohave Valley... It'll be decades before it gets tasteless subdivisions full of fast food junkies..
