I was thinking of getting something for step ups to build quads/glutes (not the traditional kind of step aerobic dancing people did back in the day).

But I can't quite make up my mind how tall it should be. A chair is too high for me or I'd use that.

It looks like most "steps" come 4 to 6 inches and then some go as high as 12 inches. 6 seems short . . . but IDK. They all look extremely long to me too. I only need to get both feet on it - not sleep on it!

I have a hard time shelling out money for a hunk of plastic as it is so any suggestions appreciated.

A step height of about 4" to 5" is about right for an aerobic step height.

Look as sets with layers. My gym uses something like this: https://gophersport.com/the-step-fitness-step Each layer is 2" and the top is 4".

Unless you are looking for pylo boxes.

IDK what I am looking for really. 8” sounds not bad I guess. But that length looks crazy big. Maybe I'm on the wrong path here but plyo boxes seem TOO tall. I suppose my own height is factor too. . .

Hmm. Thanks guys.
