1 and 3 were RomComs, ok
2. Star Wars in 1977 was amazing, 30-40 years later not so much (Nerd alert)
4. Godfather 1 was epic
5. Forrest was extremely well written/blended into history. Entertaining
6. Ezekial 25:17........Travolta come back movie! I can remember being in the theater when he took his shirt off in the outside shower scene and the crowd groaned. Plot was crazy but great Tarrantino flick.
Even the original Avengers had too many superhero characters --
Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Captain America should've been plenty.
Yet with each sequel, the producers kept adding still more.

^^^^^ I agree.
I would also add, IMO, #1 is one of the best written rom coms of all time.
Any Star Wars movie made since Return of the Jedi.
Life of Pi
Gladiator
Avatar
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
The Revenant
Manchester by the Sea
La La Land
Oh Brother Where Art Thou
Interstellar
Ford v. Ferrari
Almost any Marvel or other comic superhero movie
There are really too many to list. I can throw a dart at a list of movies made since 2005 and the odds are 50/50 I will hate it.
Definitely agree with Gladiator and Manchester by the Sea.
IMO, Tom Hanks should have two Oscars for Best Actor (but not the same two he has), Liam Neeson should have one, and Russell Crowe should have zero (Liam Neeson should have won for Schindler's List rather than Tom Hanks for Philadelphia, and Tom Hanks should have won for Cast Away rather than Russell Crowe for Gladiator).
The sudden violence was shocking, the stupidity of the scheme followed by the inept characters made it great!
Yeah, it was great.
Also liked the sweetness of Marge's relationship with her husband contrasting with the violence. It would be realistic that the sweetness might make seeing the violence (part of the job) easier over the course of a career. A 'safe harbor', so to speak.

What endeared me to the character was her ability to compartmentalize her life in that way. It elevated the whole movie for me.
John Wick movies, or really any movie where some "normal" dude just goes around beating up and killing everyone.
John Wick was fine............retired hitman ok. But 2-3-4 in the franchise is a bit much. It was like the Rambo/Terminator/Die Hard series, it just kept going and going
Jason Statham kind of the same character in Transporter/Mechanic/Beekeeper roles.
