Yeah, unfortunately, Disney is destroying the franchise, much like Marvel. Rogue One was the absolute best Disney-fied movie, along with Andor, and the Mandalorian series. The sequel trilogy was meh at best. There were some glimmers of hope in them, but that was squashed down by Emo Vader and too much campy/forced humor. I guess it is what it is, Disney produces media for kids, so they seemed to be doing the same with the Star Wars franchise along with Marvel. A perfect audience to push an agenda on. This new producer comes across as a caricature of a lesbian/feminist. And the funny thing, is this so called feminist worked for that pig Harvey Weinstein. If you see pictures of her back then along side him, she looks completely different. And she's come right out and stated that her agenda is more important than story lines. So another movie created in a board room, that makes sure it checks all those boxes on their lists.
Disney has basically diluted the entire SW franchise. I get that they want to recover their investment but geez.
I’m glad that home video availability of SW became available but I’m sick of seeing it all over TV.
Combine that Disney going overboard to be “woke”, they’re ruining it.
There are only 3 Star Wars movies. No Star Wars movies were made after 1983. You are just having a bad dream. In my world, only 3 Star Wars movies were ever made. Rumors of other movies are just lowdown dirty lies.
From the videos I have been watching from people who know this topic, it seems that Kathleen Kennedy's "the force if female" is about to be the new lore Disney is going to warp the Star Wars franchise into.
Leslye Headland is the creator, showrunner, and director for The Acolyte. Headland views the Sith as underdogs, and she wants to erase the black and white lines between light and the dark side of the force.
According to Loren, in the video, in Star Wars sags lore, from a book series written from 2009-2012, there was a mortal servant called "the Mother." To try and obtain immortality she drank forbidden elixirs and bathed in the pool of knowledge. She was punished and banished by the immortals into a prison and she was the force the Sith drew their power from.
I think this dark side is the feminine force Kennedy and Headland want to transform the Star Wars universe into. Making the light side of the force the evil patriarchy who oppress the feminine force.
I watched an interview where someone described how the Sith follow the "Rule of Two." He drew the comparison between the Sith lord their apprentice, and relationship with Leslye Headland being the personal assistant to Harvey Weinstein. Harvey being the evil Sith lord and Leslye, the ambitious apprentice.
So…….you guys are all interested enough to comment and complain online about a show that wasn’t even released until yesterday. So tell us, did you watch the premiere episode last night? Or were you all too scared because of your (mistaken) fear of thinking it’s too DEI for you?
It's pretty evident of those with media access, who have previewed several of the episodes, and the youtube campaign videos by the show runners and actors that this IS full of the DEI narrative.
Just wait until episode 3. Just like the new Dr. Who season E3 where the mask came off.
I actually watched both episodes and thought it was pretty good. I normally dont like the whole "twins" thing as its almost as goofy as "dream sequences" but I thought the episodes were pretty good.
As a right leaning, conservative, NRA member, I am actually smart enough to see things as they are and not fall prey to the ill mannered and mentally challenged who yell "DEI...woke...blah blah blah...you are not supposed to like it" and let them tell me how I should think. I, like many on Rotten Tomatoes found it to be quite entertaining. As a martial artist, I especially like the fight choreography created with the fighting style of the girl with the blades. Very very well done.
Im looking forward to the next episodes. Curious to see how she takes on a Wookie Jedi.
