So, yes, Tanks is getting auctioned off...sad sad day. Used to take my family there on most weekends back in 2009 or so. The servers and food was awesome!! I still was making regular trips there with the latest one being last March...guess it was my last.

Sad indeed! It was a regular hangout for our Meetup group, and a good alternative to the bars in Oregon District. Oh well...

That was the cool thing about it. The atmosphere was great for a family gathering or a night out at the bar with friends. Was very versatile and friendly.

I’d been reading from a lot of people they didn’t think it was the same after Tank died, but I think another factor is changing dietary trends and people not wanting to eat greasy comfort food as much as they did in decades past.

That, and according to FB there were issues with the owner as well....but that ties back into what you mentioned about it not being the same after Tank passed.

I went there a few times back in the day. I went there with someone about 2 years ago to get a sandwich and chips for lunch. It took about an hour. Never went back.
