Colin Czech, 29, is accused of killing another man and eating the victim’s face at a bus stop on Las Vegas Boulevard near Charleston Boulevard around 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 28.
When police responded to the scene, Czech was kneeling next to the victim with “biological matter in his hair, mouth and on his clothing.” He told officers the victim had attacked him. The victim was pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital.
Czech told police he was unhoused and was awake for “five days straight” because something was “possessing him,” documents said.
Didn't something feed similar happen several years ago, except I think the murderer was high on pcp?
Ok, I researched a little. The person I was thinking of was Rudy Eugene, and authorities thought perhaps he was high on bath salts at the time, although later it was shown he didn't have anything but pot in his system. This was in 2012.
And then in 2016, there was a guy who attacked a couple sitting in their garage by stabbing and killing them. When the police showed up the murderer was chewing on the guy's face.
"Just before 5 a.m. Sunday, a person called police about a man who reportedly tackled another man to the ground on Las Vegas Boulevard near Charleston Boulevard, documents said. About 45 minutes later, another person called police, saying a man was on top of another man at a bus stop “eating” the other man’s face... The victim had a large cut to part of his head and he was missing an eye and ear..."
I did not click on the links. It sounds so gory.
These killers could have been inspired by Mason Verger, a fictional character in Thomas Harris' novel "Hannibal", or its movie adaptation.
